2024 AAFV Conference

$100.00 – $500.00The 2024 AAFV Annual Conference will be held in Seattle, Washington. It will be hosted at the Alexis Royal Sonesta Hotel. All attendees and sponsors are invited to stay onsite, in downtown Seattle. Washington has many activities that would be fantastic as a business traveler or for those who wish to bring their families along. We will have several inclusive social events and tours available around the area.

Lab Information
Advanced Fish Necropsy: Problem-Based Tissue Sampling at Necropsy (Wet lab)
Date: Friday, October 18th
Instructors: Drs. Sal Frasca, Myron Kebus, and Nora Hickey
Summary: Participants will learn how to approach tissue sampling at necropsy for common fish health problems, including skin, gill, and gastrointestinal problems. This is a hands-on wet lab and participants will practice techniques on whole fish cadavers. The workshop will begin with a brief review of the standard approach to fish necropsy and then move into covering more advanced necropsy techniques and problem-based tissue sampling. Participants will leave this workshop with a more advanced understanding of how to sample and submit tissues for laboratory testing and evaluation for common fish health problems.

Advanced Koi Imaging - Pondside (Wet lab)
Date: Friday, October 18th
Instructor: Dr. Jessie Sanders
Summary: Attendees will understand how to apply diagnostic imaging principles to fish patients. Leave with basics of anesthesia to obtain the best diagnostic images Learn basics of image interpretation and where to go for help with images

AAVSB CE
AAVSB RACE asks you to provide your primary state of veterinary practice and your license number if you want your CE to go directly to your state agency. You will be asked for both of these items during the checkout process. You still have the option of asking for a CE certificate.
